This vessel is hand crafted using the finest quality materials and designed to last at least a century based on the experience of working on models in need of restoration 80 - 100 years after construction.

After two thousand hours of research into the construction and rigging practises for deep sea top-sail schooners, the rigging represents a rig devised to sail the ship with a minimum crew, inshore operations just possible with a crew of three and five for offshore work. The work is made easier in that each lead is tied off on pinrails.

The sails are represented as being finished with fish oil and red oxide. Standing rigging is in black representing tarred cordage and running rigging as plain hemp cordage.

Built in Denmark, in 1904, this vessel was originally named "Eva" and traded in Scandinavian water as the "Meta Jan" made famous in the BBC Onedin line series as the "Charlotte Rhodes."
